Welcome!
Welcome to the course.
I started to get migraines as a teenager. Regular medication didn't seem to work well. Then my doctor told me that during migraines, stomach digestion slows (Technical name: Gastric stasis). That means the painkillers don't get digested and make it where they need to go. He gave me medicine to get the stomach moving.
I thought "well if I can get the stomach moving with massage, I don't need the secondary medication". I tried a few massage techniques I'd learned on myself.
And then I didn't need the painkillers either. If I massaged myself early in the onset of the migraine, I could reduce its severity and duration.
There are only 2 main techniques. You won't have the memory or energy for really complicated techniques in a "First Aid" situation. Simple = easy to remember = more likely you'll do it.
It only takes a few minutes to learn the techniques. Practice them before you get a migraine so you can apply them without needing to follow the videos.
I hope these techniques help to reduce the severity and duration of your migraines. At the very least, they should reduce the nausea, and promote the digestion of whatever other medication your medical professional may prescribe.
